Gratitude Meditation

Join Kylie by finding a comfortable seat and place both of your hands on your heart.

The heart is the source for this meditation. So, take a moment of stillness and silence and start to draw your attention to a person, place, or thing for a person you have an immense amount of gratitude for. (Pause for 3 seconds.)

Now, take it a layer deeper. Why did that person, place, or thing come to mind? Are you grateful for the memories you’ve had in that place? Are you grateful for the kindness that person has given you? Just notice what’s coming up for you. (Pause for 2 seconds.) 

Take a moment to actively send some gratitude to that person or place, or thing and for the ways in which they enhance your day. Take a deep breath in and send some energy of gratitude out. (Model this deep breath.)  Take a few more deep breaths on your own, again actively sending out gratitude to that person, place, or thing during your exhales. (Model taking 2 more deep breaths.)
