Reassure Yourself
Whenever we get anxious, negative thoughts fill our head like, “You can’t handle this” or “What’s wrong with you for feeling this way?”
Whenever we think this way about ourselves, we simply reassure ourselves that what we’re feeling is okay and that it will pass. To reassure ourselves, we say things like “I am feeling anxious right now, and that’s totally okay. I am allowed to feel this way, and I will get through this. Everything is temporary.”
If you like these reassuring phrases, we highly recommend that you write them down and post them somewhere you look often, like a bathroom mirror or on the back of your phone.
