Immune System Support Meditation

For this meditation make sure to sit up, either in a chair or on the floor--wherever you feel most comfortable. Elongate your spine in an upright position.

Once you’ve found your seat, close your eyes briefly. (Model this by closing your eyes only for 2 seconds.) Then, find a gaze, with half-lidded eyes, somewhere on the floor in front of you. Looking but not seeing. Soften your temples and the backs of your eyes.

As you sit, be present in this moment. Use the feeling of a natural breath to sink into the feeling of your body; you should not be taking deep breaths. Your body is there for you, as is your breath. Know that your breath and this natural respiration can allow your body to strengthen.  Without doing anything physical, the body begins to lift. Your concentration on the breath begins to uplift your energetic body.

Feel your roots drifting downward and the top of your head lifting upward. Between these two points, your nervous system is reacting to your concentration. Focusing on one point, allow your internal organs to work with your body, strengthening your immune support.  Each time your concentration drifts from your focus, gently bring in back, and as you do, know that your immune system has got this. It will take care of you, if you simply allow it to. Acceptance is the key to this practice. Your body has got you covered. Breathe and gaze and remain present, and when you lose that focus, simply concentrate again and allow your attention to return.
